Viewertech Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose and scope
This Acceptable Use Policy protects Viewertech, its customers, service providers and the public from unlawful, abusive, insecure or disruptive use.
It applies to all Viewertech services, including websites, hosting, VPS and dedicated services, email, DNS, domains, support systems, APIs, digital tools and managed services.

2. General rule
You must use Viewertech services lawfully, responsibly and in a way that does not harm others or interfere with service operation.
You are responsible for activity carried out through your account, credentials, domains, applications, users and systems.
3. Illegal and harmful activity
You must not use Viewertech services to create, host, distribute, facilitate or promote:
- unlawful goods, services or conduct;
- fraud, deception, phishing or impersonation;
- theft of credentials, payment data or personal information;
- malware, ransomware, botnets, spyware or malicious code;
- unauthorised access to systems or accounts;
- child sexual abuse material or sexual exploitation of children;
- unlawful threats, harassment or incitement to violence;
- unlawful hate activity or terrorist content;
- trafficking, exploitation or prohibited weapons activity;
- sanctions evasion, money laundering or unlawful financial activity;
- content that violates a binding court or regulatory order.
4. Security abuse
You must not:
- scan, probe or test systems without written authority;
- exploit vulnerabilities;
- intercept traffic without authority;
- bypass authentication, rate limits or access controls;
- operate an open mail relay, open proxy or abusive anonymisation service;
- conduct denial-of-service attacks;
- distribute malware or malicious scripts;
- use compromised devices or credentials;
- conceal the origin of abusive traffic;
- attack or interfere with other customers or providers.
Authorised security testing must be agreed in writing and restricted to the approved scope.
5. Spam and messaging abuse
You must not send unsolicited bulk messages or use purchased, harvested or unlawfully obtained contact lists.
Electronic communications must:
- have a lawful basis;
- identify the sender accurately;
- include a working unsubscribe method where required;
- honour opt-out requests;
- comply with applicable anti-spam and privacy law;
- not use misleading subject lines or routing information.
Viewertech may apply rate limits, suspend sending or require evidence of consent.
6. Intellectual property and rights
You must not use Viewertech services to infringe:
- copyright;
- trade marks;
- patents;
- database rights;
- confidentiality;
- privacy;
- publicity or personality rights;
- contractual restrictions.
You must have permission for content, software, media and data you upload.
Viewertech may respond to properly supported infringement notices and may remove or restrict content where legally appropriate.
7. Privacy and personal data
You must process personal information lawfully and securely.
You must not:
- expose personal information without authority;
- collect credentials through deceptive means;
- publish private data to harass or harm;
- use personal data for unlawful profiling or discrimination;
- ignore lawful deletion, access or security duties.
Customers operating websites or applications are responsible for their own privacy notices, consent mechanisms and processing compliance.
8. Resource abuse
You must not use excessive CPU, memory, storage, bandwidth, processes, connections, I/O or other resources in a manner that threatens service stability.
Unless expressly approved, you must not operate:
- cryptocurrency mining;
- public file-sharing or warez repositories;
- high-volume crawling or scraping;
- public proxy or VPN exit services;
- bulk email infrastructure;
- resource-intensive computation unrelated to the ordered service;
- services designed primarily to evade platform or network controls.
Viewertech may apply technical limits or require migration to a suitable package.
9. Network and service integrity
You must not:
- forge source addresses or message headers;
- alter routing information deceptively;
- host command-and-control systems;
- participate in distributed attacks;
- create excessive DNS queries;
- use IP addresses or domains to evade blocks;
- repeatedly trigger blacklisting;
- interfere with monitoring, backups or security agents;
- disable controls included in a managed service without approval.
10. Vulnerable and compromised systems
You must maintain supported software, security updates, secure credentials and reasonable configurations.
If a service is compromised, you must cooperate with containment and remediation.
Viewertech may isolate or suspend a compromised service immediately to prevent harm.
11. Content standards
You must not host content that is unlawful or that Viewertech is legally required to remove.
Viewertech does not generally monitor customer content in advance. We may review relevant information when investigating abuse, security incidents or legal notices.
12. Domain abuse
Domains must not be used for:
- phishing;
- impersonation;
- malware distribution;
- fraud;
- spam;
- abusive redirects;
- deceptive traffic;
- infringement;
- unlawful content.
Viewertech may refer abuse to the registrar or registry and may apply locks or suspension where required.
13. Resale and downstream users
You may resell or provide services to downstream users only where your service order permits it.
You must:
- impose terms at least as protective as this policy;
- maintain accurate customer records;
- respond to abuse reports;
- ensure downstream compliance;
- remain responsible for your account and allocated resources.
14. Monitoring and investigation
Viewertech may use logs, security tools, abuse feeds and service information to:
- detect attacks and compromise;
- protect service availability;
- investigate complaints;
- comply with law;
- enforce this policy.
Monitoring will be proportionate and handled according to the Privacy Policy.
15. Reporting abuse
Report suspected abuse to info@viewertech.net or through the Viewertech support portal.
Include:
- affected domain or IP address;
- timestamps and timezone;
- logs, message headers or evidence;
- description of the harm;
- your contact details.
Do not send unnecessary sensitive data.
16. Enforcement
Viewertech may:
- issue a warning;
- require corrective action;
- remove or disable access to content;
- rate-limit or isolate a service;
- suspend an account, domain or service;
- preserve evidence;
- notify an upstream provider, registrar, registry or authority;
- terminate service for serious or repeated violations.
Immediate action may be taken where delay creates security, legal or public harm.
17. Appeals
You may challenge an enforcement decision through the support portal.
Provide evidence and the remedial steps taken. Viewertech will review the request but may keep protective restrictions in place while risk remains.
18. Costs
You may be responsible for reasonable investigation, remediation, restoration or third-party charges caused by serious abuse or breach, where permitted by law and contract.
19. Changes
Viewertech may update this policy to address new threats, laws or provider requirements. The current version will be published online.
