1. Scope
These terms apply to shared hosting, reseller hosting, VPS, dedicated servers, managed servers, application hosting, website hosting, email hosting, DNS and related infrastructure services supplied by Viewertech.
They supplement the Viewertech Terms and Conditions and Acceptable Use Policy.

2. Service order
The service order or quotation defines:
- hosting type;
- package;
- storage, bandwidth, CPU and memory allocations;
- domain and account limits;
- software or control panel;
- location where specified;
- management level;
- billing period;
- price;
- support scope;
- backup or monitoring features;
- service-level commitments, if any.
Only features stated in the order are included.
3. Provisioning
Hosting may be provisioned manually or through controlled automation.
Payment does not guarantee immediate activation.
Viewertech may require:
- identity or authority verification;
- domain ownership verification;
- acceptable-use review;
- technical information;
- completed payment;
- licence availability;
- approved configuration.
Provisioning times are estimates unless expressly guaranteed.
4. Managed and unmanaged services
4.1 Unmanaged services
For unmanaged VPS, dedicated or infrastructure services, you are responsible for:
- operating-system and application administration;
- patches and updates;
- credentials and access control;
- firewalls and service configuration;
- data and backups;
- monitoring;
- licences;
- incident response;
- application support.
Viewertech manages only the infrastructure elements stated in the order.
4.2 Managed services
Managed services include only the tasks listed in the service order or support plan.
Tasks outside scope may require a quotation.
Managed status does not transfer responsibility for customer content, legal compliance, business continuity, software licences or approval of changes.
5. Customer responsibilities
You must:
- maintain accurate contact and billing information;
- secure credentials;
- use supported software;
- apply updates where not included in management;
- maintain lawful content and processing;
- keep independent copies of critical data unless a contracted backup service states otherwise;
- review capacity and resource use;
- notify Viewertech of incidents;
- comply with the Acceptable Use Policy.
6. Resource limits
Hosting is subject to package limits.
Viewertech may apply fair-use and technical controls to protect stability, including limits on:
- CPU;
- memory;
- disk and inode use;
- bandwidth;
- connections;
- processes;
- database activity;
- email sending;
- backup size;
- API requests.
Persistent overuse may require upgrade, optimisation or suspension.
7. Availability and maintenance
Viewertech will use reasonable care and skill to maintain services.
Unless the order includes a written service-level agreement, no specific uptime percentage is guaranteed.
Service may be interrupted for:
- planned maintenance;
- emergency maintenance;
- security response;
- upstream provider failure;
- internet or DNS issues;
- hardware or software failure;
- customer configuration;
- force majeure.
Viewertech will provide reasonable planned-maintenance notice where practical.
8. Support
Support is provided through approved Viewertech channels.
Support scope depends on the package and may exclude:
- third-party application development;
- unsupported software;
- customer code;
- external DNS providers;
- end-user device support;
- data recovery not covered by backup;
- security incidents caused by customer negligence;
- work outside contracted hours.
Viewertech may require administrative access to investigate. Access will be controlled and logged where practical.
9. Backups
A backup feature is included only where stated in the service order.
Unless expressly stated:
- backups are not continuous;
- retention is limited;
- restoration is not guaranteed;
- a backup is not a substitute for customer-controlled copies;
- corrupted, encrypted or compromised data may also be backed up;
- restoration may be chargeable.
You should maintain independent backups of critical data.
Viewertech may retain rotated service backups for a limited period after termination, but does not guarantee recovery.
10. Security
Viewertech maintains reasonable infrastructure security controls.
You remain responsible for application-level and account security unless expressly included.
You must not:
- disable required security or monitoring controls;
- share administrative credentials;
- expose unnecessary services;
- use default passwords;
- ignore critical vulnerabilities;
- install malicious or unlicensed software.
Viewertech may isolate a service where compromise threatens others.
11. Software and licences
You are responsible for software licensing unless the order includes the licence.
Third-party software is governed by its own terms.
Viewertech may remove or disable unlicensed, vulnerable or prohibited software.
Licence price changes may affect future charges.
12. Email services
Email services are subject to sending limits, anti-spam controls and reputation protection.
You must not send unsolicited bulk messages.
Viewertech does not guarantee delivery because remote systems, filtering and reputation are outside full control.
Compromised accounts may be suspended immediately.
13. IP addresses
IP addresses remain under the control of Viewertech or the upstream provider and are not customer property.
Viewertech may change an IP address where operationally necessary.
You must provide justification for additional addresses where required.
Reverse DNS is provided only where supported.
14. DNS and domains
Hosting and domain registration are separate services.
A hosting cancellation does not automatically cancel a domain.
A domain expiry can interrupt hosting, email and certificates even when hosting remains paid.
You are responsible for keeping domains active and DNS correctly configured unless Viewertech manages those tasks under the service order.
15. Data migration
Migration is included only where stated.
You must provide:
- valid access;
- compatible source systems;
- sufficient time;
- accurate information;
- approval for downtime or DNS changes.
Viewertech cannot guarantee migration of unsupported, corrupted or inaccessible data.
You must validate the migrated service before the agreed acceptance deadline.
16. Monitoring
Where monitoring is included, Viewertech may monitor availability, capacity, performance, logs and security signals.
Monitoring does not guarantee detection of every issue.
Customer applications may require separate application-level monitoring.
17. Changes
Viewertech may make technical changes necessary for security, reliability, supplier compliance or maintenance.
Material customer-requested changes may be chargeable and may require backup, approval and a maintenance window.
18. Suspension
Viewertech may suspend hosting for:
- overdue payment;
- prohibited use;
- compromise;
- resource abuse;
- legal instruction;
- serious security risk;
- interference with other customers;
- failure to respond to urgent abuse or verification requests.
Where practical, Viewertech will provide notice and an opportunity to remedy.
19. Cancellation
Cancellation must be requested through the customer portal or support channel.
Unless mandatory law or the order states otherwise:
- cancellation does not retrospectively refund used service;
- current-period fees may be non-refundable after provisioning;
- third-party licences, setup and infrastructure costs may be non-refundable;
- you must export data before termination;
- access may end on the effective cancellation date.
See the Refund and Cancellation Policy.
20. Data after termination
After termination, Viewertech may disable access immediately or at the end of the paid period.
Unless law, a legal hold or the service order requires otherwise:
- active service data may be scheduled for deletion after 14 days;
- residual backups may remain for up to 30 days under normal rotation;
- restoration is not guaranteed and may be chargeable;
- security, accounting and audit records may be retained longer under the Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for exporting data before cancellation.
21. Service credits
Service credits apply only where stated in a written service-level agreement.
Credits are the remedy specified by that agreement unless mandatory law requires another remedy.
22. Liability for data loss
Viewertech will use reasonable care and skill but cannot guarantee that data loss will never occur.
You are responsible for independent backups unless the order expressly allocates that responsibility to Viewertech.
Mandatory consumer rights are not excluded.
Business liability remains subject to the Viewertech Terms and Conditions.
23. Resale
Reseller hosting is permitted only under an approved reseller package.
Resellers are responsible for:
- downstream customer agreements;
- support;
- lawful content;
- abuse response;
- billing;
- privacy compliance;
- accurate user records.
Viewertech may communicate directly with a downstream user where reasonably required for security, abuse, legal compliance or service continuity.
24. Changes to hosting terms
Viewertech may update these terms for legal, security, technical or supplier changes.
Material changes affecting active services will be communicated where reasonably required.
